Part of Gannett is now TEGNA; a skunk by any other name would stink the same.

Our Company | TEGNA TEGNA Inc., formerly Gannett Co., Inc., is comprised of a dynamic portfolio of media and digital businesses that provide content that matters and brands that deliver. TEGNA delivers highly relevant, useful and smart content, when and how people need it, to make the best decisions possible. [emphasis added] Our agile and forward-thinking portfolio of television and digital businesses comprise one of the largest, most geographically diverse broadcasters in the U.S. and two top digital companies, Cars.com and CareerBuilder, as well as several other well-positioned and growing online companies. via Our Company | TEGNA.

—————————————

Gannett has no history of providing information that allows people to make the best decisions possible, i.e.; Florida Today and USA Today have so mangled the facts of oft-disgraced dog handler John Preston that the public remains largely convinced that everyone he helped frame has been freed, although many inmates – including Gary Bennett in Florida and Stephen Epperly in Virginia – would beg to differ.

Florida Today helped thug public servants who buried Brevard County’s as yet unresolved Preston frame-ups get reelected: State Attorney Norm Wolfinger; Public Defender James Russo; Judge John Dean Moxley; Judge W. David Dugan, Sheriff Jack Parker, etc.; and FT helped make sure that the newly elected replacements will go along with conviction corruption: State Attorney Phil Archer; Sheriff Wayne Ivey, etc.

You may think you’re watching Fox, ABC, CBS, or NBC, when you’re actually watching TEGNA. Do take care. There’s every sign that their reporting will remain ridiculous, given TEGNA’s First Coast News jumbled reporting on 23-year-old Antonio Gallashaw, who died either Monday or Tuesday, and 50-year-old Denis Robinson, who died either last Thursday or today. Both deaths occurred at Baker Correctional Institution.
