If Tom Dascle truly knew Bob Graham, his dog comment would be about burying bones

“No. 1, I think the American people deserve to know the truth of what has happened in their name,” said Mr. Graham, who was a co-chairman of the 2002 joint congressional inquiry into the terrorist attacks. “No. 2 is justice for these family members who have suffered such loss and thus far have been frustrated largely by the U.S. government in their efforts to get some compensation.” …

… “Bob is kind of quiet, but once he is on to something, he is like a dog with a bone,” said Tom Daschle, the former Senate Democratic leader.

Bob Graham is a an accomplished liar, and deflector.

In order for the New York Times to be honest about Graham now, they’d have to explain why they weren’t honest about him when he held assorted elected offices, which likely has much to do with the Graham family owning Slate, and – until recently – the Washington Post – to which the family maintains financial ties.

I’ve said it before, I will say it again: God damn Bob Graham.

Tens of thousands of men and women remain framed due to the FBI’s love of faux forensics – their own and others – that Graham obviously knew a great deal about before he served on the Senate Intelligence Oversight Committee, yet ignored his responsibility to hold the FBI to their mandate to address public corruption that affected trial outcomes:

Public corruption poses a fundamental threat to our national security and way of life. It impacts everything from how well our borders are secured and our neighborhoods protected…to verdicts handed down in courts…to the quality of our roads, schools, and other government services. And it takes a significant toll on our pocketbooks, wasting billions in tax dollars every year.

Graham was a rogue public servant, and he’s part of the reason why the FBI remains a rogue agency. But only part.

A greater reason the FBI remains rogue is a mainstream media that’s increasingly interested in election engineering and decreasingly interested in letting us know where the true security risks are.

No matter how many newspapers and colleagues sing his praises, Bob Graham remains a walking, talking fraud on the public: he’s cost innocents their freedom and their very lives.
