A Casualty Of Rick Scott, The Florida Legislature, And The Party Of “No”
… take a few moments and read the touching un-edited story of Charlene Dill, as told by her best friend, Kathleen Voss Woolrich. You see, Charlene can’t tell you her story herself, because Charlene is dead, caught up in the politics of the party of “no”.

I hope that you’ll read Charlene Dill’s story as told by her best friend Kathleen Voss Woolrich, and let it fully sink in that the laziness of the poor – pure and simple – is an invention of the rich.
It’s an ill-intentioned invention, designed to dupe those who are still doing okay into blaming absolutely everything that’s wrong with our government on those that are no longer doing okay.
As a Floridian, I wasn’t surprised to see Ms. Woolrich mention Disney in telling Ms. Dill’s story.
Disney owns ABC, which is relentlessly running Rick Scott’s deceptive anti-Affordable Care Act ads. Again, no surprise. Disney has turned ABC News into a royalty/celebrity drivel’n’drool fest, interrupted only for pretend debates that push that ill-intentioned, far right agenda that portrays people like Charlene Dill as being the problem, instead of the real villains, like Florida’s legislature, Rick Scott … and Disney.
Most Disney workers aren’t paid a living wage, and don’t have paid sick days or affordable health care coverage, despite Disney’s massive wealth and negotiating clout. Disney only pretends that it’s family-oriented, just like right wing politicians pretend to be pro-life while enacting deadly policies.
Charlene Dill’s three children need her right now … it’s anything but Christian to stop caring about mothers’ lives the very moment they’re no longer with child.

Update 4/11/14: Hopefully, the audio portion of this video of Rick Scott defending his ACA ad will play more clearly for others than it did for me.
