Daily Kos: Only 9 Senate Democrats Voted Against the SNAP-Cutting Farm Bill
Although the majority of the House Democratic caucus (103 vs. 89) just voted against this bill, only 9 members of the Senate Democratic caucus voted against it:
Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)
Cory Booker (D-NJ)
Bob Casey (D-PA)
Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
Ed Markey (D-MA)
Chris Murphy (D-CT)
Jack Reed (D-RI)
Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)
Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)
So much for focusing on inequality, or poverty, or even “opportunity”….

The math still says that raising the minimum wage by $3 per hour across the board immediately would not only reduce SNAP roles dramatically, it would fill Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Unemployment coffers.
The math also still says that Congress shouldn’t have rewarded their non-productivity and dishonest work with raises (plural), while denying raises to those who receive the $7.25 minimum wage (or close to it), productivity and diligence is unprecedented.
Sadly, it seems that only six Democratic senators can do math.
Finally, the Demos and GOPs find common ground…in their disdain for the poor and lower classes.
