What’s in a name? It depends.

In memory of Michael Hastings, and to honor Sidney Blumenthal’s This Town, I’ve decided to refer to Mark Leibovich’s same name/same subject book as Vanity Unfair: A Non-Troublemaker’s Tedious Tome of Vicious D. C. Vagaries … which is self-explanatory to anyone that makes it to the brutal end of the smug and snarky song-of-self.

If your curiosity is still somehow piqued despite my clueing you in, borrowing Leibovich’s book from a friend or a library will spare you the embarrassment of having unjustly enriched an elitist.

That’s – after all – what our tax dollars and campaign contributions are for.

Besides, if we start enriching politicians’ fourth estate facilitators, we’ll never get ourselves unscrewed.
