Horrifying news for Vets – TBI is punishable by death.

John Errol Ferguson, convicted mass murderer, executed in Fla. – Crimesider – CBS News

The 65-year-old was convicted of killing eight people in South Florida in two separate incidents in the 1970’s.

Ferguson made a brief final statement before 25 witnesses before his execution.

“I just want everyone to know that I am the prince of God and will rise again,” he said calmly, according to The Associated Press.

Just like tens of thousands of our Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, John Errol Ferguson suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury.

Despite it being absolutely impossible, Governor Rick Scott decided that Ferguson’s resulting homicidal insanity was a personal choice.

Prior to committing multiple homicides, Ferguson was institutionalized. He’d been released despite a psychiatrist’s warning that his delusions made him dangerous.

Due to delays in providing service and undue denials of service, we won’t know as much for some TBI Vets that slide to the dark side.

Some, if not most, states will be able to sort matters out after the fact on TBI Vets’ behalf, but Florida certainly won’t be one of them in the foreseeable future.
