Don’t know much about the SEC

On May 5th, I emailed a letter to Orchid Cellmark about evidence that had been shipped to their Farmers Branch, Texas facility for DNA testing from Brevard County, Florida. The evidence was related to Helen Nardi’s 1983 homicide and likely would have exonerated Gary Stanley Bennett … had it been testable.

I’m told that the evidence arrived in Dallas County signed, sealed, and “washed.”

The email to Orchid Cellmark (below) is very heavily redacted because it’s about to become entirely beside the point.

LabCorp has made an offer to purchase Orchid Cellmark that appears to be sailing towards a swift completion, which likely means that Orchid Cellmark can slide out from under any responsibility for reporting likely evidence tampering in Bennett’s case.  And perhaps other cases.

So there’s no sense my explaining the two other names in the subject line aside from Bennett’s, no sense being mad at myself for begging “please” repeatedly, and certainly no sense in writing a follow-up email for Orchid Cellmark C.E.O. Bologna, C.F.O. Smith and attorney Thomas to chuckle over before they hit “delete.”

There’s probably a lot of sense in finding out if the SEC should be blocking the sale of Orchid Cellmark to LabCorp, but there’s only so many federal agencies I can stand to understand.

The FBI is supposed to investigate public corruption that affects trial outcomes, but they instead generate conviction corruption of their own and ignore the mandate entirely.  The IRS is supposed to ensure fair treatment of taxpayers, but they suck the life out of individual filers while letting lawless entities build wealth, shield income and buy legislators with faux NGO status.  There’s other agencies I understand, but your time and my time is more precious than any of them would have us believe, so I’ll spare us all further synopsis.

I’ll close with this – DNA is only definitive in the absence of corruption, and government is doing nothing to keep DNA definitive.  I know of three Florida men still incarcerated although DNA pointed directly away from them; there’s likely many others.

Dear Mr. Bologna, Mr. Smith and Mr. Thomas,

I am writing to request specific actions concerning evidence received last year in your Farmers Branch facility that apparently was untestable for DNA …

Please decide … this very day … to be proactive in maintaining an immaculate corporate image …

Please report the condition of the evidence that you received …

Please preserve your corporate credibility …

… be on record as being intolerant of being on the receiving end of suspect evidence.

Thank you for your time, gentlemen; I look forward to a prompt response …
