As Zimmerman mainstream media fix surfaces, mourn this man.

You can tell what kind of reporter Michael Hastings was by the kind of reporter who hated him.

The mainstream media is portraying George Zimmerman as affiliated with Neighborhood Watch, when he most certainly was not.

Being armed is inconsistent with Neighborhood Watch, so is leaving your vehicle, so is ignoring police instruction.

But here – on one page alone – six mainstream media references mention Zimmerman’s former Neighborhood Watch affiliation as being somehow germane to his trial, although Zimmerman obviously acted as an armed and dangerous vigilante, playing by his rules alone.

Some accountings don’t even make it clear that the affiliation is past tense.

This evening, I heard ABC’s WPBF reporter Todd McDermott refer to Zimmerman as a Neighborhood Watch Captain. On-scene Eyewitness News, my eye.

Evil will continue to triumph if good men do nothing to counter the misrepresentations of the kind of “reporters” who hated Michael Hastings.
